Put the Mung beans in a sieve and rinse thoroughly. Then soak them in water for 8-10 hours, and drain them well.

Next put them in a container, like a big glass or an old jam jar. Tie a piece of thin cloth on the top using a string or a rubber band. Pour water over the Mung beans through the cloth and gently turn the glass upside down and let the water run out again.

Leave the glass to rest somewhere but not in the sun.

Continue to do this for the next 3 or 4 days, and soon you will that the Mung have sprouted and are ready to eat.
